Dave Trumfio is a sought-after music producer and founder of Los Angeles recording studio Kingsize Soundlabs. As a producer/mixer/engineer, Trumfio has worked with artists such as Wilco, Built To Spill, Grandaddy, Soft Kill, The Jesus and Mary Chain, OK Go, Sia, The Anniversary, and My Morning Jacket among many other well-known artists. 

Dave started Kingsize Soundlabs in Chicago in the early 1990s, eventually relaunching the business with partner Ronna Bronstein in Los Angeles in the early 2000s as a multi-room facility including partnerships with Gold-Diggers and 64 Sound.

 

In 2017 Dave formed Damaged Disco, a record label and event promotions company that hosts a monthly event at Gold-Diggers featuring curated live music performances and DJ sets by Dave under the moniker DAT68. He is also a prolific songwriter and musician whose own projects include late-90s indie/synth rockers Pulsars, electro-pop solo project Viktor Fiction, current project Nervous Boy, and legendary post-punk troubadours The Mekons, for whom Dave acts as producer, bassist, and co-songwriter.
